Here's a fun one…. Depending on your growing zone, Mars is classified as either a collarette, or an orchette. In the PNW where we are growing, weather conditions cause petals to curl inward making her an orchette. The local federation even sends out a supplemental list of dahlias that have a different classification in our growing zone. Wherever you are growing her, Mars produces BIG beautiful blooms in a rich red.
