I took a single cutting from this tuber last spring, and at some point, realized that the tuber was never planted in the garden. Turns out it was part of a greenhouse debacle involving my husband, an unusually sunny day, and a totally fried tray of tubers that had been started for cuttings and planting. Thankfully this cutting made it to the garden, because it was stunning! 9" flowers on tall stems that had no trouble holding up these supersized blooms. The incredible dark purple outlined in white was simply amazing!
